Job Details
A competent and seasoned civil engineer is needed by Ahya to work on a variety of design and consulting projects. The chosen applicant will be in charge of topographical surveying, survey mapping, and creating disciplinary drawings for civil and structural work.
Job Requirements
- Education: A civil engineering bachelor’s degree is necessary.
- Experience: It is necessary to have at least five years of documented experience as a surveyor and CAD operator.
- Software expertise: A high level of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise is necessary. Certification in Autodesk will be favored. It is necessary to be familiar with the whole Microsoft Office software package.
- Proficiency with Survey Equipment: Excellent command of survey equipment. Complete familiarity with SOKKIA Total Station, Handy GPS, Automatic Level, and other devices.
- Knowledge of Codes and Standards: Sufficient familiarity with international codes and standards, including AISC 360, AWS, ACI Detailing Manuals, ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI 530, and the International Building Code (IBC).
- Language Proficiency: Excellent writing and spoken communication abilities along with proficiency in the English language.
- Interpersonal Skills: Able to collaborate well with others and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Work Environment: Able to work extra when needed, and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace.

Creating Expert Drawings and CAD Drafting:
- Create comprehensive structural and civil work drawings as well as concept-level drawings.
- When creating professional drawings, adhere to drawing standards. When creating drawings, modify Ahya templates and drawing standards.
- Create construction drawings using the results of the structural and civil designs.
- Work together with structural and civil design engineers to provide expert drawings that adhere to design criteria and outputs.
- Collaborate with engineers in other fields to produce coordinated construction papers, including architectural, electrical, and mechanical.
- Estimate the items for the civil and structural disciplines, prepare the bill of quantities (BoQ), and do a rate analysis.
- Respond to consumer and client feedback.
- Throughout the project’s building phase, provide technical assistance to address any possible problems or obstacles.
- To handle complicated system/problem analysis, work alone or as a member of task teams.
Performing Surveys and Assessments for Projects:
- Boundary, topographical, utility, final record (as-built), GPS, quantity, and site layout surveys (construction staking) are some of the survey types that may be included.
- Use the SOKKIA Total Station to conduct topographic surveys.
- With AutoCAD Civil 3D, create expert survey maps and topographical plans.
- Complete as-built record surveys and create final as-built drawings.
- Conduct construction staking, or site layout surveys, using coordinated plans and construction drawings as a guide.
- Using AutoCAD Civil 3D, create site grading plans.
- Using AutoCAD Civil 3D, create sewer profiles.
Extra prerequisites:
- For project evaluations and topographical surveys, as well as for providing technical assistance during project construction, brief trips to neighboring provinces could be necessary.
